Abstract
Das vorliegende Arbeitspapier fasst die Ergebnisse einer im Sommer 1988 durchgeführten schriftlichen Expertenbefragung zu den Bestimmungsfaktoren von Forschung und Entwicklung in der Schweizer Industrie zusammen. Von den 940 befragten Unternehmungen haben 358 oder ca. 40% geantwortet; sie waren in 127 verschiedenen Wirtschaftsarten tätig. Inhaltlich befasst sich die Befragung mit den zwei folgenden Determinanten von F&E: 1) Aneignung und Sicherung der Ergebnisse von F&E (Appropriability conditions) und 2) Technologische Chancen (Technological opportunities). Die Ergebnisse der Befragüng sind u.a. für die Patent- und Forschungspolitik sowohl von Einzelunternehmungen als auch des Staates relevant.
