In particular, I will evaluate whether political preferences of voters for political candidates depend on their age and some other characteristics such as gender, education, religion, social and economic conditions. Performing LOGIT and PROBIT regression I will demonstrate that variable age is statistically significant, demonstrating that Single Mindedness Theory assumptions hold in the UK political environment. creators_name: Emanuele, Canegrati creators_id: emanuele.canegrati@unicatt.it date: 2007-04 date_issue: 2007-04 file_format: pdf file_url: http://mpra.ub.uni-muenchen.de/2832/01/MPRA_paper_2832.pdf full_text_status: public identifierabstract: http://mpra.ub.uni-muenchen.de/2832/ institutions: catholic university of sacred heart milan institution: catholic university of sacred heart milan ispublished: unpub keywords: Single-mindedness; political survey; electorate preferences; Logit; Probit language: en note: preliminary work: please do not quote pages: 26 referencetext: [1] (1997) Alvarez, R.: Information and Elections, The University Michigan Press [2] (1984) Enelow, J.M. & Hinich, M.J: The Spatial Theory of Voting.
