Abstract

Emotional abuse is a technique used to exert power over another person by criticizing, humiliating, blaming, or otherwise manipulating them with their emotions. Emotional violence is one of the most difficult types of abuse to identify. Emotional abuse is often overlooked as abuse by survivors of domestic violence. Emotional abuse has a variety of effects on the victim. 65 percent of Indian men, women should accept abuse in order to hold the family together. Domestic abuse affects 70% of women in India (Physical, Sexual, Emotional & Economic)
