Abstract
This paper applies an interdisciplinary approach that integrates climatology with economic and financial analysis to investigate in detail the effects of climate change on the economy and financial system of Croatia. Using geospatial analysis of data from the IPCC and Copernicus programs, regions within Croatia that are differently exposed to climate risks are identified, enabling a more precise assessment of economic and financial risks. Furthermore, the paper contributes to the theoretical understanding of the relationships between climate change and macroeconomic variables and develops an analytical framework for evaluating the long-term economic effects of climate change. The research findings provide an empirical basis for formulating adaptation and mitigation strategies for climate risks at the national level.
