Abstract
The study of asymmetric information began to be applied in finance and economics in the 1980s. Today, asymmetric information has become a core analytical tool in financial economics and has influenced our understanding of the operations of financial institutions and markets. This book clearly explains the relationship between financial factors and macroeconomics, providing a better understanding of financial institutions and their role in economic fluctuations. The book is divided into three parts. The first part presents the conceptual foundations, the second part discusses the applications of asymmetric information in corporate finance, and the third part is devoted to examining the applications of asymmetric information in macroeconomics. The next section of the article introduces the content of the book’s chapters. It then analyzes the impact of asymmetric information on the capital market through a case study of dividend policy. The fourth section of the article critiques the content of the book. Finally, the last section of the article consists of the conclusion and suggestions.
