Abstract

This article defines and characterizes the cooperative ‘sector’ in the Paraná economy and disaggregates the sector Agriculture and components of Food Industry of the input-output table, made for the state for the years 1980 and 1985, in Cooperative and non-cooperative. The aim of this research is to characterize, in a systemic way, the profile of intersectoral relations, detect key sectors and verify the development of the productive structure of Paraná, highlighting the sector(s) related to Cooperatives. The analysis is performed considering 40 sectors. The main conclusions show that: the sectors Cellulose, Paper and Graphics and Textile Industry were the key in 1980 and 1985, therefore, dynamic and important sectors for the growth of state economy, the productive structure of Paraná was more diverse from 1980 to 1985, revealing a consequent increase in economic complexity, the technical coefficients of the agricultural cooperatives were very similar to those of non-cooperative firms, indicating that those are watching, up close, technological developments that occurred in non-cooperatives that operate in the sectors Agriculture and Industry food.
