Abstract

This paper discusses women’s rights and violence of women in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is poor, and developing country of the world and most of the people are illiterate and ignorant. Women are not conscious about their rights, so that the oppressions against women are frequent matters here. The government of Bangladesh and various non-government organizations have been trying to equalize the men and women rights. The discriminations between men and women cannot develop a country. This paper suggests the importance of adopting the uniform rule both for men and women and emphasizes the need for social education and awareness programs through the government and non government institutions.
