Abstract

This paper proposes to highlight the application of the fuzzy sets theory to the multidimensional poverty analysis in democratic Republic of Congo. The author develops a multidimensional model of poverty by introducing a synthetic decomposition, which combines at the same time the role of the groups of a population and dimensions or attributes of poverty in DRC. The introduction of the decomposition methods will give the contribution of various dimensions and as the various groups of the population which require an assistance of the authorities, in other words, this application will serve to propose adequate socio-economic policies authorizing the reduction of the poverty intensity of in DRC.
