Abstract
Fiyatlar kalabalıkların bilgeliğini mi, yoksa çılgınlığını mı yansıtır? Finansal krizlerin tarihine bakınca, varlık fiyatlarındaki rasyonel temellerden kopuk artışların pek de bilgelik eseri olmadığını düşünebiliriz. Finansal başarısızlık ve çöküş hikâyeleri; yatırımcıların ağırlıklı ortak algısı ve işlem psikolojisinin 1 adet lale soğanının veya hisse senedinin (veya 1 metrekarelik ofis/konut alanının) fiyatının yıldızlara kadar çıkmasına neden olabildiğini göstermektedir. Varlık fiyatlarındaki bilgelik-çılgınlık ikilemi aynı zamanda, son 50 yılın en büyük ekonomik tartışmalarından biri olan varlık fiyatlarının piyasadaki mevcut bilgiyi yansıtıp yansıtmadığı tartışması ile de ilişkilidir.
