Abstract
The book is intended for anyone who wants to know the possibilities of applying mathematical methods in economics using Excel spreadsheets and the Mathcad package. The book provides a systematic presentation of the main basic mathematical methods used in economics. A general methodology for the use of mathematical tools and mathematical models in economics is given, as well as a specific presentation of the basic mathematical concepts and methods: the use of differential calculus in economics, matrix algebra, integral calculus, differential equations, the basics of correlationregression analysis and other methods of econometrics, mathematical modeling and analysis of economic processes, optimization methods and solution of optimization problems. A distinctive feature of the book is the combination of the study of mathematical methods and the use of Excel spreadsheets and the Mathcad mathematical system for their application systems that are most suitable for economic calculations and mutually complement each other.
