Abstract
The book is intended for anyone who wants to know the possibilities of applying mathematical methods in economics using Excel spreadsheets and the Mathcad package. The book provides a systematic presentation of the main basic mathematical methods used in economics. A general methodology for the use of mathematical tools and mathematical models in economics is given, as well as a specific presentation of the basic mathematical concepts and methods: the use of differential calculus in economics, matrix algebra, integral calculus, differential equations, the basics of correlation-regression analysis and other methods of econometrics, mathematical modeling and analysis of economic processes, optimization methods and solution of optimization problems. A distinctive feature of the book is the combination of the study of mathematical methods and the use of Excel spreadsheets and the Mathcad mathematical system for their application - systems that are most suitable for economic calculations and mutually complement each other.
