Abstract
This contribution aims to deepen the analysis of employment in Italy, emphasizing that many structural problems in the labor market remain unresolved, despite the positive economic outcomes of the past two years regarding employment and unemployment rates. Among the unresolved issues in the Italian labor market are gender disparities, with women being significantly disadvantaged; regional disparities between the Northern and Southern regions; high youth unemployment, particularly in the South; the brain drain; and the widespread prevalence of irregular work and the underground economy.
