Abstract

Bambang Suprianto Abstract Many pests and diseases that attack sugarcane and what is important is the stem borer. The dominant influence in sugarcane production is pests and diseases. The study of Corcyra cephalonicaa Eggs parasitized with Trichogramma is quite prospective in the control of sugarcane pests to increase the economic value of sugarcane plantation companies. The island of Java, considered to be the main habitat of sugarcane, has been difficult to develop the area for 46 sugar factories. Opportunities in sugar industry (+1,6 million ton) are very prospective considering the requirement of sugar consumption is still not fulfilled. The temporary shortcoming to meet those needs is with imports. . The situation is exacerbated by the entry of imports of illegal sugar and the import of sugar directly sold to consumers so that the price of domestic sugar has decreased drastically from Rp 3 000 per kg to Rp 2 000 per kg. The Minister of Industry and Trade Decree No. 230 / MPP / Kep / 1999 issued a Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade Number 230 / MPP / Kep / 1999, which stipulates import tariff of 20 percent for raw sugar and 25 percent for white sugar to streamline the tariffs. The import duty on sugar imports is changed to a specific rate of Rp 550 / raw sugar and Rp 700 for white sugar (Sawit, et al, 2004). In 2002 the policy was combined with import quota based on SK Menperindag Number 643 / MPP / Kep / 2002 on Sugar Import ties. . Keywords: economical, sugar, pest, import, parasitized,
