Abstract

The topic that I have selected for my research is the role of privatization in stabilizing the economy of Pakistan and its after-effects.

First of all, I have discussed the rationale of the study in the earlier chapters. Privatization has now become an important factor in the growth of any economy. Most of the developing countries are in the phase of transition from a state-owned economy to a market-oriented economy i.e. a privatization regime is scattered among the developing countries.

In this report, I have discussed some of the successful privatized economies and I have also discussed the advantages and potential disadvantages of privatization for any economy.

A thorough review of Privatization in Pakistan has been done. This includes the privatization commission’s objectives, their performance, and the process of privatization in Pakistan has also done.

The successful transactions made by the privatization commission of Pakistan have been discussed in the report along with some of the issues related to those privatization transactions.

In the end, I have concluded the report followed by some recommendations for the Privatization Commission of Pakistan to make the privatization regime prosperous in Pakistan.
