Abstract
With regard to agri-food products the food piracy practice is usually referred to the imitation of "Italian sounding", some foods to the eye of the consumer "play Italian". They include both "brand" products, both traditional products and products of origin and quality certified, which are of the utmost importance because of the high distinctiveness on international markets. The agropiratory phenomenon may have a positive reading, beaucause represents a great opportunity for growth of Italian companies, which can take market spaces with the original made in Italy products, on markets created by globalization.
