Abstract
Augmented reality is becoming more and more public aware of the hype surrounding the mobile phone game Pokemon Go and the Google Glass. However, if AR is equated only with these applications, there is a risk of narrowing the chances. Although, AR can help to master the complexity of the requirements in professional environments. Augmented Reality therefore has enormous technical and economic potential. In order to realise it, the corresponding technical, economic and political conditions must first be created.
