Abstract
The paper discusses the possibility of behavioural change in accordance with the objectives of sustainable development considering the human behaviour through the needs. Using the concepts of fundamental human needs and satisfiers of Manfred Max-Neef, the attempt was made to determine the adequacy test of a satisfier as a key point of this approach when researching the human behaviour. The paper offers the definition of an adequate satisfier and as an illustration the analysis of a case of a family in Moldova. Finally, the attention is drawn to the necessity to intensify the joint efforts to form the sustainable behaviour and to the inadmissibility of the substitution or mix up of the key concepts at the application of this approach by the researchers.
