Abstract
In this study, the overall sum of the activities of the public sector in the economy, "public economic efficiency" and the event is defined as the conjectural characteristics of the different forms have changed, but is assumed to continue. Still the primary economic goals set by the mechanisms of political conjuncture in accordance with the public sector on the basis of trying to alter the style of the event. Turkey's economy, the continuity of economic activity, the size of the budget (budget expenditure) and budget performance (budget deficits) focuses on taking the relationship between the growth data are subject to time-series analysis. Quarterly data for the period of 2000:01-2012:03 for the economy of Turkey were studied. This is based on the data, within the general framework is derived from the above-mentioned three propositions are tested. First, budget deficits correlated significantly with the growth data. The second proposition, with direct and indirect tax revenues as share of total tax revenues and the size of its budget, changes in the size of the public sector are examined. In the third proposal, the budget focuses on the relationship between size of the growth data. As the results in the period, the size of the public sector budget in a strong relationship with GDP and the budget is largely funded by tax revenues. Tax revenues from indirect taxes at an average rate of 68.47% is obtained.
