Abstract

In 2018, the global economic recovery continued. At least this can be seen from the increase in commodity prices, which have a significant effect on production activities such as petroleum, coal, and Crude Palm Oil (CPO). The need for these commodities shows that an increase in global demand is ongoing, which in turn increases commodity prices. Even though some strategic indicators show improvement, it still feels less significant. Our Gini ratio is down, but only very little. Indonesia has started massive infrastructure development as an unremarkable form of policy. In addition to infrastructure, it seems that there is still room for us to do, especially in the era of information technology and the digital era that is developing today. This short paper aims to see what else needs to be done to improve the economy in addition to infrastructure policies that have already been implemented. This brief research shows that several other channels that are likely to contribute to development are the use of the internet. The utilization of the internet will contribute to increasing financial inclusion. A better level of financial inclusion is expected not only to boost growth but also to reduce inequality, as reflected in our expected decreasing ratio. Furthermore, cooperation between various institutions must still be carried out so that coordination runs well.
