Abstract
The objective of this study is to identify not only the contours of power, asymmetric domination or stato-centrism in global economic governance, but also to analyze the scope of international cooperation or regimes (IR) in international economic relations (REI). For this fact, it combines the concepts of economic analysis and those of international political economy (PPE) in order to understand what order is, that is to say stability or absence order or anarchy in REIs. This study is also interested in the different ways of analyzing the play of the actors (States, International organizations, firms, NGOs, Groups of experts, etc.) who intervene in international negotiations. It also makes it possible to show the importance and the difficulties encountered by the World Trade Organization (WTO) as a deus ex machina, that is to say, an external player in the regulation and regulation of international trade.
In addition, with the profusion of regional economic integration processes (IER) in the world, the proliferation of Regional Economic Communities (RECs) in Africa and the networking of national economic structures through Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs), are we entitled to support the power or cooperation-centered approach to PPE? In response, we believe that in the current context where the global economy is increasingly integrated, cooperation stands out from the hegemon. This thesis is supported by the WTO regime, the main principles of which are negotiation, regulation and dispute resolution. This triptych of the multilateral trading system can only be achieved within the framework of cooperation where the absence of a regime is no longer an option.
