Abstract
Este trabajo analiza el comportamiento de los trabajadores en Austria, centrándose en las diferencias en el tiempo de desplazamiento del hogar al centro de trabajo entre trabajadores por cuenta ajena y trabajadores autónomos. Se han realizado las estimaciones dividiendo la muestra entre hombres y mujeres. Para ello, se ha utilizado la base de datos de la Encuesta Europea sobre Condiciones de Trabajo (EWCS) para el año 2015. Los resultados han mostrado una correlación negativa y estadísticamente significativa entre el tiempo de desplazamiento y el hecho de ser trabajador autónomo. Se encuentran diferencias en el tiempo de desplazamiento entre trabajadores por cuenta propia y por cuenta ajena que oscilan entre 23 y 29 minutos en los desplazamientos diarios según se trate de hombres o de mujeres.
