Abstract
The following paper discusses types of scientific postulative claims and their role in today’s mainstream economics. In the core part of the article the author shows how the fundamental theoretic axioms (especially those regarding underlying principles of human economic behavior) may lead to inadequate conclusions and fierce misconceptions. The analysis is constrained to economics as a nomological science.
