Abstract
The objective of this work was to assess the effects of governance on the dynamics of private investment, public and economic growth in WAEMU between 2002-2012. From a PanelVAR, the econometric results of the different models show that socio-political instability, corruption and regulation of economic activity have been constraints for investment and economic growth. On the other hand, they show that political instability reduces the externalities of public investment on private investment in the Union.
