Abstract
This is the first-ever study to estimate role of the non-governmental sector in health sector of India. It is a background study to support the National Health Account of India (2016) by Government of India. It found that the current health expenditure of non-governmental sector is INR 10,091 crore, which constitute about 2% of total health expenditure and around 0.09% of GDP with reference period 2013-14
